question about FS forum

I prepurchased Valve's Orange Box via steam tonight. Since I allready own HL2 and HL2 episode one, Valve will be providing codes that can be redeemed for those games on Steam. Since they are not tied to any Steam account untill they are redeemed, is it ok to sell them on the FS forum (since there is no Steam account associated with them)? Also, since the codes wont be provided for me untill the Orange Box is released in 1 month, is it ok to presell them in the FS forum and deliver them when they are released?

- No sales of game accounts (Steam, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, etc.) if prohibed by the manufacturer's terms of service.

You agree that you are personally responsible for the use of your password and Account and for all of the communication and activity on Steam that results from use of your login name and password. You may not sell or charge others for the right to use your Account, or otherwise transfer your Account.

So the answer is no.

Since Steam accounts cannot be sold, the answer is no.

These are not assigned to an account. Its a code redeemable for a game. To redeem the game, the buyer must have a steam account. There is no transferring of account information. Its the same as selling a game, but no media is included.

You have an account, the codes are going to you, they are yours and tied to your account.

And just for reference on your second question, you can't sell anything that you don't have in your possession.

games codes for steam games not entered into an account yet are not tied to any account. upon entry they become part of a steam account.
