Question about front usb hookup.

My case has 2 usb ports on the front. I have a question about hooking these up to the motherboard headers.

One hookup has 5 diffent wires:
VCC1
Data +
Data -
Ground
Shield

But the second hookup only has 4:
VCC2
Data +
Data -
Ground

So I assume I dont need the shield wire on the second hookup?

The shield is for USB2 shielding which you may not have a connection for.
I think it is not necessary.
My old Lian-Li PC60 gets USB2 speeds without a USB2 cable with shielding.

Thanks, I just connected the shield wire next to the ground on the top row.
And just connected the other port to the bottom row of headers on my mobo. Haven't tried it yet, but I'll test it tomorrow.
