Question about formatting a Linux drive...

Hi, I bought an IBM Travel Star laptop HDD today from a friend for my 486 laptop. The only thing is he forgot to take of Linspire (linux with a windows interface), so the windoes formatting program doesn't recognize c: as a drive since linux is on it. How can I format this drive to install windows 95?

BTW: I have a Laptop IDE to Desktop IDE adapter on the way.

Use that adapater and format it in windows using the disk manager. I prefer to use my usb enclosure actually.
