i am doing a project in flash cs3. the problem is the school uses the older flash mx 2004. whenever i open the .fla document from cs3 in mx 2004, it gives me an error saying "unexpected file format". is there any way that i can fix this?
 
it's happening because you are opening a fla created by a newer ide(cs3) with an older ide (mx 2004). if you open an .fla created by 2004, into cs3, it should work no problem...bascially, as far as i know, you are out of luck.
