Question about finding someone

To be brief, I am trying to find someone: whose name I don't know, whose hobbies are a mystery, and whose location is unknown. I am trying to find this person here at college, but I don't know anyone here. Now, I have met people during both the semesters I have been here, but nothing was long-term. No phone numbers were exchanged, etc. I went to a bar with a few of my classmates, but that was it. New semester, new people.

Anyways, the only way I could find this person is if I were to look at the school's admission records - which obviously isn't an option for me. Since it is the summer, the campus is closed for the most-part and I have not been able to find this person since.

I am certain I could find this person if I were to get a hold of all the local high school year books and rummage through them. That won't be easy, but it is more doable than trying to search the school's records.

So, does anyone have any ideas? This town is rather large and just hanging around hoping to find this person is almost out of the question. With gas being $4 here and my job taking most of my time, I cannot be going to town every day, lurking around the stores and restaurants all day.

Also, I am still learning about college (first year going into second) and I don't know if there is some sort of public records. Just name and picture available to the public. If there is something like that, it would fix all of my problems within minutes. However, I do not think such a feature exists in the legal world.

Any input is immensely appreciated.

Facebook Search college for the years they would have graduated, or current people 🙂

I found a ton of people in a way you just described knowing nothing but there picture that way

I loath Facebook and Myspace, but it is worth a shot.

The only problem I have now is that I don't know if this person is still going to this college or if they went onto a different one. Either way, they should have the college they are at, listed.

Any tips on searching Facebook to maximize my chances?

Umm... problem. It won't allow me to type the college I am at. When I type San Juan College, it brings up University of Puerto Rico, Cayey University College. The college I am at is San Juan College in Farmington New Mexico. When I type New Mexico, my college isn't even on the list.

My local public library has all of my local high school's yearbooks. If facebook doesn't work out you could go for this option.

That does sound better than asking random people if I could borrow their year book for a few minutes. I shall head to the library tomorrow. Thanks.

Also, the Facebook would be going a lot better if I could find a way to search for people within the college I am at. Also, the pictures being so small as well as the inability to check profiles for a larger picture really hampers my progress.

So what do you know about them? Where they went to HS?

I don't know anything about them, which makes this so difficult.

What... is... wrong... with... you...

Don't be so quick to judge. I have my reasons for searching for this person.

My reasons are my own.

Wow this is bizarre like a Twilight Zone episode or a move directed by David Lynch

OP = stalker😕

No, I'm not a stalker. If you see in the Farmington Daily Times *[Insert Name] Killed By Internet Stalker* then you can suspect me. But you won't be seeing that headline.

I'm not trying to stalk this person, I just need to find them.

Either way, it seems that all of the helpful information has been posted. So thanks to them.

You say you don't know anything about the person. So even if you could search admission records, how would you even know when you ran across the person you're looking for?

Is the only thing you know about the person is what he/she looks like?

I only have a face, which is why a yearbook and/or admission records would help tremendously.

As for the library idea, they did not carry the yearbooks I needed. They only had from 1955 - 1996.

Also, this is the last time I will state this: I am not trying to stalk this person, I just need to find them for reasons that are my own.

Anyways, does anyone have any other ideas?

Yep the definition of a stalker. Plus you're in the denial state so you're pretty well advanced.
