Question about Fedex

I'm waiting for a package and need need to know if they require a person to be in the house? Or do they just leave it at the door? UPS usually just leaves it there. I'll be at work so I don't know how it will go.

Express will require a signature unless you have a waiver on file.

If you need it tomorrow, you can always call FedEx and have them hold the package at the FedEx distribution center, then go pick it up after work. FedEx closes at 6:30-7:00. You'll need to give them the tracking #.

I checked their website and it says that FedEx 2nd day will ship by 4:30 PM, maybe my brother can be there. If not, can I just pick it up at one of their locations?

You have to ask them to hold it at one of the FedEx locations or they'll try to redeliver.

I am worried, maybe just a bit paranoid. If the guy comes and sees that noone is home to sign, will he take the package to one of their locations? How do I know which location its at? Will the letter at the door say it? Forgive, its a bit late ...

If he leaves the "sorry we missed you" door note, it will say "we'll try to redeliver tomorrow, if not pick it up at our location at the following address (address) after (time, usually 6-7PM)"
