Question about eclipses

http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/OH/OH2003.html

Why is it that the two "sets" of eclipses come six months apart? I imagine it has something to do with the earth's revolution around the sun right? But why?

And..why is it that the lunar and solar eclipses come within about two weeks of each other? Like the "sets" of eclipses time interval, two weeks represents the approximate time that the moon takes a half revolution around the earth. How are these all related??

EDIT: Okay if I had thought about this for a minute, I'd have understood it. It's pretty obvious now...I think I'm becoming too dependent on AT to think for me 😛
