what is the maximum write speeds for today's dvd-r/rw and dvd+r/rw? i noticed on anandtech's front page, they have an article about 8x dvd-burner and that is can burn 4x dvd+r media at 8x, surprisingly. can it also do this with dvd+RW? also, i've only seen 2.4x dvd+rw in my town, is there something higher than this? is there plans to release something faster? i wuold just like general info on the max writing speeds and current plans for future dvd-+r/rw media. thanks.

thanks. are the dvd+rw media readily available? i haven't seen them advertised and couldnt find them in stores.

DVD+RW media is readily available at 2.4x record speed. 4x record speed in DVD+RW is very hard to find.
