Question about dual booting

I have a computer here with Win2k and Win98 on two disks

Disk 1. Win98
Disk 2. Win2k

I want to reinstall win98 but the problem is that the Win2k bootloader is on that disk so if I reinstall win98 it would most likely overwrite the bootloader with its own crap.
What is the best way to do this without ruining the win2k install?

dont be so sad, you helped me alot and I'm thankful for that 🙂

now If only I had been smart enough to remember starting smartdrv before starting the win98 installation😱
