question about dos formats

spanky

ok...i hope this doesn't sound like totally...like...dumb. but here it goes. is there a switch to the dos format command where i can specify cluster size? i tried "format /?" but it seem to help me much. any ideas? thanx in advance.

well you can change your cluster size from fat to fat32 or to ntfs. but you would have to delete and and then make a new partition using fdisk. or a program like partition magic. Format just erases the data on a particular partition. Partition majic has some extra feature that fdisk doesn't, but I don't think it will allow you to change cluster size without deleting.
