Question about Dell notebook and TV out.

I have a dell inspiorn 4000 (from dell direct w/ 20% off) and immidately put win2k on it. I tried to put it on the TV at home and it displayed the windows screen fine but when i put a DVD in it played on the LCD sreen but the Tv had a black space where the DVD player was running? i was using the RCA out adapter and was going to try it with the svideo cable later.

Anybody know whats going on? Is it the cable, win2k or the video driver from ATI?

You need to select the tv as primary monitor.
