The Dell website states:

Microprocessor type
Dimension Lxxxr
Intel® Pentium® III microprocessor that runs at 500, 550, or 600 MHz internally and 100 MHz externally, or a Pentium III processor that runs at 600, 667, 733, 800, 866, or 933 MHz, or 1 GHz internally and 133 MHz externally, or 1.1 GHz internally and 100 MHz externally

However I want a 1.13GHz model on NewEgg. I just updated this system to BIOS A14. Will this work and state something like "Unknown Processor" or will it not work at all?

Thank you!

There is not going to be any noticeable difference between the 1Ghz and 1.13Ghz on an Intel 810 chipset board. The thing is slow as molasses and it only uses PC100 memory.

I have an L667r that I dropped a 1Ghz EB in and it ran fine, but still a lot slower than my homebuilt PC with the same CPU. It is due to the pathetic 810 chipset. I also have A14 bios.

I removed the tiny little thermal pad on the 667 chip and used thermal paste on the 1Ghz chip.

Probably not to its full capacity. The 815 chipset was a big improvement over the i810.

I don't think it's worth the time, effort, and/or money.
