Question about deleting posts on public forum (not AT)

Hi,

On a certain forum which will remain unnamed, the moderators seem to delete posts such as reviews of equipment by manufacturers that aren't site sponsors. This is a public forum for something like computers and has general public forums just like AnandTech. If I happened to be one of those manufacturers, is there anything I can do about posts being deleted?

Yep, it's not really ever a public forum. They are privately owned.

Believe it or not, we actually discussed a similar situation a few months ago.

take your case to the public and if they are being unfair, they'll have to deal with the public pressure to shape up

Yep although the forums are accessible by the public, they are publically owned.

Just like the Anandtech forums, it's a PRIVATELY owned and managed forum, the owners can do what they see fit.
