Question about DDR2 Ram

I currently own an Asrock 775 Dual VSTA with a E6600 Dual Core Processor. I'm running it with 2G of DDR 400 PC3200 Ram. I'm not going to overclock right now because I'm not very experienced with that stuff. My question is, without overclocking, how much of a performance benifit would I get upgrading to a high end DDR2 ram? I would be interested in any links to tech sites that would have articles displaying the differences in performance between the two types of ram on an Dual Core Processor.

Thanks.

Heffty, sorry i gon't have the answer you're looking for, the reason being is i'm just now putting a pc together using that same proc and mobo. My question to you is, how do you like the board so far? I'm used to ASUS or MSI boards, those are my preferences, but i wanted to get into a C2D 6300 but didn't have the cash to buy all new components.

So like i asked, is this board tricky or unstable (i don't overclock). Hopefully it's just a middle of the roud, economical board to use.
