If you get Data corruption, you will see something like "Registry is damaged" or "System files are damaged or missing" from your HDD. I don't remember exact phrase of the message but you'll notice it immediately. What happens is that if your system gets this error your system will attempt to backup your registry and it often fixes the problem but not always. If it's damaged bad enough, some of the system files may get scrambled or lost. Then you're f@#ked. You would need to reformat the HDD. Stability on the HDD's are vary when OC'ed.
