Question about Counter-Strike...

Turkish

Lifer
I just reinstalled it and want to play a little before I sell my desktop in a few weeks. I found a good server and added it to my favorites, but when I rerun CS: Source through Steam, that server is not in favorites anymore? Anyone know why?

I have same problem. If you start the game and add to favorites in the game, it will remember the servers in game, but not on steam.

I hope that made sense.

it actually didn't 😛 care to elaborate?

Make sure steam is updated, there was a previous version that had this problem but was fixed in a later update.

Instead of using the favorites when you launch steam, you should rather launch the game. Once you've launched the game you go to the "join game" section and add the servers to favorites. These servers will be remembered, but only if you first start the game, then connect from inside the game menu.

google HLSW and download that program. Its a great program for almost any game. You find your favorite servers...copy the IP ..Paste it in there. It updates them all and all you have to do is clikc connect and it will open the program for you and connect to the server. It also lets you pick what settings you want to load the game with.

Back in the day it also helped with being able to alt tab out without losing sound
