Question about Component adapter for X800GTO2

Will the component adapter that came with my Sapphire X800GTO2 allow me to output 720p or 1080i to my HDTV? The only reason I'm asking is it's the S-video (or similar connector) to component adapter and I can't find anything on ATI's site about it, and Sapphire's site points back to ATI.

I just went out and got the component cable hoping it would work and it did.

I had the X800GTO2 before and yes it does work. It looks like the S-Video connector but it's actually not.
