question about cases and system compatibility

hello, this probably has been posted before and i didn't take the time to find the post... but...

i was wondering about some newegg cases and system compatibility. i've been looking at a lot of the cases and was wondering, when it says that it's P4 compatible... does that mean it's ONLY P4 compatible and not AMD compatible? (i've seen this for several types of cases... such as lian-li or enermax; i haven't seen any of them say they were for AMD) or if it doesn't specify, can i safely assume that it's both AMD and P4 compatible? here's the specific case i was looking at...

Special @ 49.00 CHIEFTEC Server Chasis (Workstation Tower) Model DX-01BD- IBM Black w/ Two Case Fans Front Accessible: 4 x 5.25", 2 x 3.5", Internal: 4 x 3.5". Compare to Antec SX1030B Case and Save No Power Supply !!! Model#: DX-01BD

link to the list of cases...

the case seems like a good deal except that it has no psu; i don't mind ordering that separately.

<edit>
i think i should provide some basic system information.

900 MHz AMD Duron w/ SOYO SY-K7VTA-B Mobo
384 MB RAM
5.9 GB HD (primary)
9.1 GB HD (secondary)
32x cd-rom (i think it's broken)
4x8x CD-R drive (SCSI)
etc.

thanks in advance for help/suggestions/recommendations...

I have the same case (except that it has the Antec name to it) being used to support my Gigabyte GA7DX and XP 1800+. The case works fine with the AMDs. I saw the same deal you mentioned for the Chieftec a couple of days ago and I am going to order it for my XP1600+ setup I am putting together.

When they say it's P4 or AMD approved, they are referring to the power supply, not the case itself. AMD has a list of recommended power supplies (among other things) on their XP page. That's the reason the one you are looking at doesn't say P4 or AMD - there's no power supply.
