question about car title.

I just checked the title of my car, and just now realized that there are 2 lienholders listed. Mine, and the previous owner(I'm assuming).

I had this car for a year now, and never really noticed until now. how do I get it removed?

do I contact the people who did approved my loan, or the shop that I bought the car from??

didnt the bank who approved my loan have responsibility to make sure it was clear??

you take the paperwork proving the lien is no longer in place, normally a notarized letter from the lien holder stating the lien is void, to the DMV and they'll issue a new title without it

or i think, you can just keep the letter with the old title. maybe it depends on the state
