Question about buying a TV on Black Friday

Hey guys, I have not had a TV in a while so I decided to get one on Black Friday. Best Buy has the Insignia 39" for $178 and the Sharp 42" for $299. The room is rather not big so I don't need a bigger size. In fact, this size may or may not be too big. I don't intend to sit too far away from the TV.

Here are the links to the TVs:

As for the TVs, I'm not sure. I would like to have the Insignia due to the price but if the quality of the display is superior on the Sharp, then I would get that. The Sharp also has one extra HDMI port, 120 hz. and *may* have better sound quality. Plus, it says it's Roku ready. Not sure if the Insignia is or not. I wonder if 60hz. on the Insignia vs the 120hz. on the Sharp would matter much.

I would mostly use the TV for streaming videos and playing console games.

Also, where would be a good place to buy cables? I'm looking to buy a HDMI to HDMI cable and a mini-Displayport to HDMI cable. Monoprice seems good but the shipping seems very high. Newegg doesn't have a big selection and Amazon's prices seem high. 🙂 Right now, I'm leaning towards these cables from Amazon:

Seems like the Monoprice cable has mixed reviews.

Sets like the Insignia generally have awful off axis viewing both horizontal and vertical.

Is there something inherently bad about the panel used in the Insignia? How would the Sharp be?

I don't really need the TV to be super great in terms of image quality - just good enough to watch. Just playing some console games and more frequently streaming movies and shows.

Thanks.

I am leaning towards the Sharp 42" now. Is there a better value out there?

Any opinions on the Sharp?

I appreciate everyone's input. Thank you.
