Question about burning dual layer DVDs

I have a couple of things that a want to burn that are bigger than 4.7GB. I want to buy some DL disks. If I burn an iso less that 4.7GB on a DL disk is it going to work the same as it would on a regular disk or should I get regular disks for that?

It will work fine. Of course, if you have some single layer DVDs around you may as well use them, if the files will fit. Why waste the unused space on a Dual Layer DVD if you don't need it ? ? And duals are a little more costly than the single layers. 4.7GB is before formatting .. Actual burn capacity is closer to 4.3GB

also, dl media is a bit more sensitive than sl media. go w/ verbatim - it is the only ones that i have burned successfully 98% of the time. don't buy the cheap dl media, you will just waste your time and frustrate yourself.
