i want to burn this 60 meg mp3 which has been split up into like several equally sized smaller mp3 files.

If i burn this on to a cd to be played in my car stereo using nero utility, i get a 2 second skip before each new track starts playing.

How can i burn the mp3 so the music can play continuously without the 2 second skip?

thx

after you drag all the mp3s in, highlight them and right click properties.
Change 2 seconds to 0.

Also make sure you burn disc-at-once and not track-at-once.

If you didn't want a gap then why did you chop up the mp3 in the first place dumbass?

I don't think so. I've crossfaded a bunch of songs into a single big MP3 file and then split it up into separate MP3s and specified 0 seconds like UncleWai suggested but there were still tiny gaps in between the songs. Tiny, but still noticeable.

He never said HE chopped it up.

If it were me, I would put a 1 second crossfade on it... should eliminate the gap.

i do it the way uncle wai suggested. my friend had a dj cd he created, i split the tracks up using the wave editor and then specified it to 0-second in between track pause as mentioned earlier, and when i play the cd, it plays without gaps or anything. tracks transist perfectly.

Maybe you still have it at track at once? I used to have this problem, and even though you'd burn the tracks with no gap and at DAO, thered be a very very small "hiccup." Between some tracks it'd be more noticeable. I think it also has to do with what prog you use to split the big file. I painstakinly split the file using sound forge with close drutiny of the wave ( i guess the track ending or begining on an off best kinda annoys me.)

cause i dont want to sit there fast forwarding thru 70 minutes of audio to hear the last 4 minutes of the mp3.

i tried 1 second crossfade

it sounded weird cause, at the end of each track the begining of the next track would start playing...so u hear the end and beginng at the same time.

the settings is set on disc at once...still hear the gap...with 0 pause setting

if u play the mp3's in winamp they transit perfectly

I wasn't sure so I just checked and it is at disc-at-once so I'm not sure what's wrong or if it can be fixed. Not that it is that big of a deal but it would be cool to have to songs fade into one another without a detectable gap. Having just one big track kind of sucks if you want to skip a track or repeat one.
