can you do this? There is an item at Meijer that I am interested in that will be on sale during that weekend. I want to buy tomorrow and go Sat. and get the differece (50 bucks). Can I do this??
 
If they don't give you the rebate, consider returning the item for a refund, then going back into the store and purchasing it at the sale price?

No. For the most part, items for BF sales aren't put out until before opening on Friday, or after close on Wednesday. If they are out, it wouldn't be fair to people who wait before the store opens that some cheapskate bought one a few days early and wants to scam a few bucks. Policy at R$ in our district was to accept returns, but only for a full refund, and to not resell that specific unit until the next day, so if you return it you lose it.
