question about bannings or vacations

Hey, Storm Rider: If you are still reading the threads at this forum, time to post! Your vacation has been over for a long time now! Hope you're doing fine! :p

Okay, you may now return to your regularly scheduled programmes! :D

Ah! Ndee got a one week vacation for asking if FFMCobalt should get a life? That sounds harsh, considering worst scenarios that would have qualified him for a one week vacation. It also sounds harsh 'cuz I've seen too many threads like that; and they just get locked with nothing done to the original poster. Uhmmm . . . indeed, it is a travesty of justice. :D

I think that was just the straw that broke the mods back. Ndee posted a lot of junk lately....although posting junk doesn't mean someone should be banned or everyone here would be banned starting with notfred & encryptic....j/k ;)

Ding ding, we have a winner of a one week vacation, here. He won some free luggage as well. :p

If that isn't a travesty of justice, I don't know what is.

I feel the same way I did when OJ was acquitted . . .

Hmmm I was quite happy when the Juice was found NOT GUILTY! :)

That makes one of us. We had bomb threats to my school that day (I believe all of the prosecuting team, other than Marcia Clark, went to my law school), so we had to watch the verdict at a nearby bar. A lot of my female classmates were crying, and pretty much every judge, attorney and law student I knew at the time and know now (including a number of black men and women) feel it was a miscarriage of justice.

Seriously. A slur on FFMcobalt surely doesn't deserve a week off. A free subscription, perhaps. But I guess he does serve a purpose - standing as the prototypical uninformed, defacto conservative that makes up much of America. Oops, I guess I'll get banned for this too.

"We had bomb threats to my school that day (I believe all of the prosecuting team, other than Marcia Clark, went to my law school). . . ."

They all went to UC Hastings, with exception to Marcia? Wow! No wonder they did such a sloppy job! ;) Uhmm. . . . LOL! :D

I already know I won't be going to Hastings. I want a school I would enjoy, feel I learned a lot from, and one that accommodates free thinking. Actually, I would like to go Barry Scheck's alma mater! He was my favourite of all, one of the most intelligent counsels, and the most passionate of all, in my view.

In all fairness, I don't think there are a whole lot of law schools that encourage free thinking - it is kinda antithetical to the law school process. God knows there is nothing enjoyable about Hastings, though.

Wow! That's all it takes to get banned in OT? Come over to P&N and check it out. Just tonight we've had people called c0cksucker, Bush-Bitch, nitwit, idiot, etc, without a single comment by a mod.

You're right, Don Vito. I did learn that the hard way. So I won't raise my hope this time, but it would be nice to get admission (even if by accident) into one of the rare and few schools that do encourage free thinking.

Gaard: What site is that? I don't know what P & N stands for.

Oh! Politics and News.

Thanks, Rossman.

Hey, I've been there before, Gaard. Yeah, I sense your sarcasm. It is disgusting there when I browse through the subject titles and look at a few threads. I can't believe they allow people make those exchanges there. Well, the politics threads at AT have always been intense and the source of flames, but at least there were intelligent discussions amidst the flame wars. Now it's just flaming, flaming with nothing useful. I guess the mods are used to it. :frown:
