question about autotune

They have "One Republic" playing and when the guy is singing into the mic [as in all the time] there is a distinct reverb in his voice that sounds like heavily-compressed audio.

I haven't really cared about tv in ages so I just turn it on while I do some work but the voice issue caught my attention.

Is it autotune? Is it sh!!ty compression? FYI I rarely notice audio-compression on the channel

then it WAS autotune. annoying as hell. i was questioning the HDTV signal, the cables, etc :laugh:

Could have just been running the mic through a reverb filter.

"distinct reverb" and "heavily-compressed audio" do not mean autotune was used.
