I heard somewhere that the BIOS reports ~10 C higher temps than it reads to compensate for unaccurate readings, does anyone know if this has been confirmed?

I'm not sure if it's compensation or not, but later bios revisions definately up the reported temperature, my Tbird 900 is reported at ~55ºc , and it used to idle at about 48.

Although, I think the reason for the temperature increase might be caused by the CpU not idling correctly within windows, this is something I have heard from others on FAQ's and NNTP.
