Question about an upgrade...

Hey guys,

I have another PC with a Athlon XP 2700+, 1 Gig of PC2700 ram that recently had the motherboard go out, and I believe it took the Video card also because I cannot get it to display on 2 of my other computers. I was wondering what you guys recommend to buy for a motherboard/video card combo to run Elder Scrolls Oblivion (On low-medium quality) at least with decent FPS. It has to be a Socket A mobo with AGP 8x of course (I don't believe they make PCI-E for Socket A anyways, too old =P )

Let me know if you guys have any ideas. Thanks =)

I would go with this video card, and you would be best off finding a used socket A board. If you look you should be able to find a Lanparty or something, that would be good for oc'ing that chip.

Any other suggestions? I know that is a good card, but I would really, really like to get it all at one place for ~$200.

Don't know what dBTelos is up to...but a 7600GT is not yet available for AGP (probably never will be). X800GTO is a good card, but you should also try a 6800GS for around the same price (maybe a bit more). Find a Abit NF7-S if you can, since I've heard good things about that board.
