lets say that you are drinking a bottle of wine that is approx 11% alcohol. If you start at around 9pm, and drink almost all of it along with eating pizza, and get so drunk that you forget what goes on half the time before you pass out, can you actually stay passed out till the next day, 3:00pm? Can you stay so passed out that you don't hear knocks on doors?? I just need to know.

Is it relaly possible to be that passed out for that long of a time that not even knocks on doors can wake you up?

I know it is different for all people, but what is teh norm? and how long does a person usually stay passed out?
thanx.

No way.

Um, yes. You forget the relative nerdliness and inability to handle liquor of 98% of ATOTers.

seems like you think your g/f is lying to you. if you give us the complete circumstances we might be able to tell you if she's hiding something....

well, it just seems like it. i've had plenty of friends come up to me and ask questions like this, when they really wanted to see if it was possible that their g/f was lying. something like "do you really think it's possible that there could be the smell of cologne in her crotch from someone that spilled CKone on the table and some dripped on her pants"........

A bottle of wine along with eating pizza? I doubt you'll pass out if you eat much pizza and you don't drink the whole bottle in the space of an hour or two. You'll probably just get tired and go to sleep for a normal period of time....

thats not really that much alcohol.

the last time i got really drunk i had something like 12-13 shots of vodka, and then drank a bottle and a half of 8% lemonade alcohol stuff. i then ended up punching a wall, and passed out for like 5 hours. the next day my hand hurt.

my roomate on the other hand, drinks two 40s of malt liquor, vomits , passes out, and then his friends draw a penis on his face and he doesnt notice. hahaha that was awesome. i even have a picture, but i dont think the mods would appreciate me posting it.

it all depends on his body weight, the amount of food consumed, the duration of time during which the wine was consumed, and his liver's ability to metabolize the alcohol.

My guess is that it is very possible if the person did drink the whole bottle within 3 hours and weighed less that 150 lbs.

yeah, 1 bottle of wine really isn't much at all. Unless you're substantially <150lbs, you shouldn't get much more than medium sluggish drunk. Passing out is unlikely. You'll just fall asleep, or perhaps vomit (depending on how much pizza you ate... alcohol inhibits digestion).

I'm around 165 lbs, and usually in the space of a 1.5 hrs I can comfortably consume 5-6 shots of scotch without getting all that tipsy. It takes almost twice that to get really wall spining drunk. I think passing out happens a couple shots after that.

ROFLOL I can't help laughing at how Canadians and Midwesterners react to drinking questions. They must just build us tougher up here!

If that said person NEVER drinks and chugged the wine in about 30 minutes then i suppose it's possible to pass out for that long.

Even my friends who drink a case, puke, drink more, then pass out don't sleep that long. They wake up still drunk stumble to the bathroom no later than about 10am, but then they sleep for a while. But after you've woken up you'll wake up easily from knocks at the door and such just as if you were sleeping.

also... As far as people were talking about weight. I have a friend who is less than 100lbs, and she can handle a bottle of wine in an hour or 2. Sure she's drunk but not dying on me.

Tolerance plays a role too...if the person never drinks then obviously he or she is gonna get wasted off less alcohol. My brother (probably about 125 lbs) has taken at least 12 shots of vodka and drank some more in a night and didn't come close to passing out.

oh yeah if you are on blood thinning medicine

i.e. pain killers

prozac i'm told also does this. then you will have much much lower tolerance. if you have an empty stomach too you'll get drunk more easily.

Tylenol when you're drinking possibly one of the worst things you can do. Stuff like motrin is ok, but tylenol is bad enough as it is.
