question about AIM and why the away message goes up

I have noticed certain buddies on my list who would put up an away message and it gets take off like a second later. When does this occur?
They use the older version

They don't use any idling time or anything. Just curious what's going on their end

Maybe they put it on and took it off right away? Happens to me on occasion... but I use Adium.

no, it just happens all the time
it goes away and right back... multiple times throughout the day

A few ideas... Locking their PC? Screen saver? Trying to piss you off?

Sometimes inactivity of the mouse / keyboard will cause it to go to away.

so they lock their PC and unlock it right away? or does locking on a certain AIM version cause it to put up an away message and come right back? weird

I suppose it could be due to inactivity of the mouse but their timing must be so precise to hit the mouse as soon as it goes away...like a second later
