they said it was imperative that i call them back

does this mean i got the job? 😀

i left a message cause they must be at lunch. but i will try back at 2.

that was the first post.

now that i have a second interview what should i expect? any tips?

if they said imperative then it means they are interested and there was probably some major issue they need resolved.

Maybe something with your background check - start/end dates didn't match. Something funky came up on the criminal history, ect.

i doubt that. i don't have any kind of criminal history at all. i've been employed at a prison and jail so i doubt i would have if i had any kind of history lol 😀

Actually, they just want to confirm your location so the cops can serve the felony warrant that popped up during your background check. Good luck!

It means you need to provide certain information to them for them to move forward with the process. They most likely found out you are a border crosser without proper work permit.

Well, it could be an issue with start/end dates for previous employers. Or a gap in employment history. With my current job, they needed me to re-verify some employement history I had from about 10 years ago. I was one month off on the start date on my application and that wasn't jiving with the employers records.

ah. that makes sense. ah they just called back

they want to set me up for a second interview! 😀

2nd interview is usually more personal, say they have more than 1 candidate, they have a 2nd interview to get to know you better and help them decide. It doesnt mean you got the job, but it means you're close. Expect questions about your personality etc...
