Ok before I start I've got to tell you that I'm not lookin for any flamewars here.
Just a plain simple question that needs an answer. Thats all
I ran into an old article back in the first days of presentation of 6800U Tom's
I was just wondering about this one, and before I test this myself I might as well ask you for it.
Does this hold some truth in it and if yes was it a driver issue?
I know it's an old one but I haven't heard about this and I have read other articles that say IQ is similar for ATI and Nvidia nowadays.
Thanks and remember. It's just a question, don't shoot the messenger.

Its Tom's..

Look just to the right of the article.

He's got a decent review of the ATI x800.

I'd believe it.

The issue is non-applicable because 1.2 of the game adds SM 3.0 support so that old auto-detection is irrelevant. The IQ issues are completely gone in that version.

So in short it was basically a game issue that 1.1 introduced.

Well that explains it. I'm using 1.2 with sm3.0 beta path.I've never even used 1.1 with my 6800GT.
