Your receiver doesn't have any video connections, the dock linked above won't do any good. You need a new receiver or you need to find another way to connect the ipod to your TV. If your TV has composite connections (most still do) I'd suggest a cable like this: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC748ZM/A plugged directly into the back of the TV.

hah I can't believe I forgot about that :\ i remember thinking that receiver was weird since it had no video inputs/outputs

depending on your TV, you can probably connect your IPOD to your TV and have the TV output audio to the receiver
this may also depend on what version of ipod touch you have

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1454

in descending order of quality

if you have a TV that supports HDMI you can get an IPOD TOUCH 4th gen to HDMI female and an HDMI cable

if your TV has composite
store.apple.com/us/product/MC748ZM/A

else if your TV is really old and only has RCA

crossover frequency is the frequency at which you want the receiver to send data to another speaker or driver, in this case the subwoofer

generally crossovers for subwoofers are set to around 80-100Hz, but if you're using smaller front speakers (i.e. energy micro) you might want to set it a bit higher (i.e. 120-150)

usually this is set on the receiver
does the wharfdale accepts speaker output to the front left right?
if it does, then that's probably how the crossover is set when connecting speakers to the subwoofer directly

Ok so because my speakers are connected to the receicver me setting the crossover on the sub will make no differance? Also just wondering with my sub being front firing is there a best place to position it? Im just not happy with the performance? it is a big upgrade from my last sub and is suppose to be a good one its a wharfdale diamond SW150BAV?

you set the crossover on the receiver and then on the sub you set it to the highest it will go thus nullifying the low pass filter on the sub.

placement depends on your room. try corner if you think it is not putting out enough oomph.

Also in regards to the wharfdale sw150 diamond im not sure if i have it connected right, i have it running from the pre out sub jack at the back of the receiver but there are 2 red and 2 yellow jacks that look like they are for speakers? Where should it be connected? I dont understand as alll the previous subs i have owned only have one place for connection
