Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure if you are aware but an independent group of developers has just released a remake of the popular game Quest for Glory II which was previously only EGA.
I did a search and it appears that there are many fans of the series and Sierra games in general here. I think they did an amazing job, even better than Sierra would have done probably and it took about 8 years to finish!
I am enjoying it very much and was very happy to see that there are some new additions as well!

Check it out, it is a free download too! :)

here is their website:

No I'm not affiliated with them, just a big fan of the old sierra games. Believe it or not I've been reading this board for years and even used to post when I was in college but my account was deleted.

Um, I don't care if he IS associated with the project. This thread delivers. Time for another QFG1-5 playthrough!

I already downloaded it via a link from Kotaku but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

QFG rocks. I for one welcome a blackman avatar announcing QFG downloads and free ipods.

QFG2 was my favorite in the series. Awesome plot, action, setting, everything! I haven't checked out this web page, does this mod/remake really deliver the goods?

This is awesome! It really is a free, full remake of QFG2 in vga, similar style to the QFG3. The combat system is also improved, and the music is amazing. I owe you a beer, Chiefcrowe!

Oh yeah, and it runs perfectly in Vista x64 (although it seems you would need a widescreen aspect monitor to play it full screen).

As far as I know, there isn't anything underway for QG3 but its possible that someone is working on it. i hope so anyway!

I only played QG3. Wonder if there's a similar portalling effort for that?

And as an aside, I played Star Control II ages ago. Apparently developers have been able to portal it, plus it's freeware :)

Yes, i have been playing it and am on day 8 so far. no major bugs at all and they enhanced the combat and many other things. this is one of the best remakes i've ever seen or played, i think they did better than even Sierra would have done!

hehe, thanks for the beer. I do think however that the creators deserve it more for all their slaving away on this game!
