Query regarding damaged input device?

i was cleaning out my room when i stumbled upon my old Microsoft Natual Elite Keyboard. I had since removed it from service since i had spilled water on it and ceased to function. But when i plugged it in, i got curious about its current state, it kinda worked. only certain keys work, and those do work cause a constant "error beep" to sound with each key stroke. my question is if there is any way to salvage this key board, or should i take her out to the pasture and put her out of her misery?

Sounds like one of the control keys (Windows, Ctrl, Alt) is stuck.

These mainboards use the cheap approach. They have a big rubber mat for all the keys and a contact board, not individual switches for each single key. The good thing is they're easy to dismantle and clean. Give it a try if you're bored. Clean water only!

I've very lucky since I revived my MS Natural keyboards from numerous Coke spillage. As Peter mentioned, you just need a screw driver to separate the casing & you'll find a long piece of rubber mat. Just wipe off any stain/dirt (I used a blowdryer for a brief moment to dry off any wet areas - don't want to burn it up though).
