You are an idiot.
WARNING VISITING THIS SITE DOWNLOADS A VIRUS OF SOME SORT

My Norton Anti-Virus deleted a JS.Offiz virus, and it detected a Trojan horse inside a .js file that was downloaded. Yes, I did this multiple times to check if it was the site that was doing it (not too smart, I know).

Edit the fvcking link out.

Kill Bill was ok, Reservior was ok, Quentin is wayyyyyyyy overrated. I think there are better directors out there. Most of the people say that Pulp Fiction is good because its the "cool" thing to do:roll:

Yeah, there are better directors out there, but there are very few directors who can produce consistantly good movies. Especially action movies with good dialogue.

Why would you quote the link then ask to edit it out?
I visited the site numerous times and got no virus of any kind.
😕

i think he is very good, but probably still overrated. i loved kill bill (1&2), and like his other movies, too, but i wouldn't even put him on my list of favorite directors.

Genious? No. Genius. Yes.

corrected 😛
😛 🙂

It almost doesn't matter to me what he did after Pulp Fiction... that's the only movie of his that I need...

I agree. Give me Pulp Fiction; the rest I don't give a sh!t about.

😕

people who have progams that protect their computers from virus get the message because the program sees what the link does as a virus (the way it affects the window).

definitely. he is by far, my favorite director.

hasn't made a single movie that I' haven't loved, unlike some other more famous directors *coughspeilberg* who can't seem to find it in their hearts to pass on obviously bad films *coughtheterminal*

edit: as a person, he comes across as a total douche bag, and if I had to be confined to the same room as him, I'd probably punch him into a coma. but his movies rock.

Here are the facts:

Dogs was good, Pulp is a kind of benchmark that many films will (unfortunatley) be compared to for another 5-7 years now. It revolutionized independent cinema as a viable market, many would argue for the worse. Still, whats done is done. Upon watching Pulp now, it seems a bit dated, almost cliche. The dialogue still pops but after so many imitations, its hard to remember it in the proper context of 94.

Tarintino has a knack for snappy dialogue, that is all. He thrust himself into this director-superstar position because he is a ham and a failed, wannabe actor. "When dealing with Quentin, you have to always remember that he wanted to be an actor first"
I think uma said that..

anyways, thats all he has going for him. Im sure he directs his actors well in his own stories, but in terms of composition/framing and overall directorial style he is rather bland. People that name him as the favorite director usually cannot name too many other directors besides spielberg et al.

he sort of represents american independent cinema to the average small town american and that...well...sucks. to me, anyways.

in conclusion: yes, he is very overrated

everyone on his jock needs to expand their horizons and brush up on their underground/independent/international cinema.

anyways, I cant wait for a couple years from now, when I am on top (I am a director) and I can diss quentin in magazines.

look for me

haha 😉

Reservoir Dogs - very good
Pulp Fiction - very good
Four Rooms - poor
Jackie brown - good
Kill Bill 1 & 2 - good to very good

Quentin Tarantino - Overrated? No. Obnoxious? Apparently yes, but I wouldn't know.

For the most part, he makes very entertaining movies, which is all I want as a moviegoer. I don't pay attention to all that other crap surrounding Hollywierd. I know if he directs another film, I'll do what I always do, read a few reviews and decide if I'll see it or not. Four Rooms and Jackie Brown I didn't bother to see at the theater.

I think it's sad that we're only talking about the movies he directed. Why not throw the movies he wrote and produced but didn't direct into the discussion as well?

I like his early stuff, but Kill Bill is so lame it's not even funny. Martial Arts 'glam' movies are a disease on Western cinema. All image, no substance. I blame the MTV mentality that has taken over the media lately.

Lame script, lame acting, lame story. C'mon Quentin, you can do better than that.

Hrmm, you make it sound as if you went into the movie expecting a serious flick...
