Quebec may secede from Canada

Have to think back a bit bit but doesn't Quebec have a fairly predictable habit of threatening secession every few years and then backing off when the rest of the country pretty much tells them to go ahead. If memory serves in the past it has not been financially advisable for Quebec to secede. Something about Quebecs budget deficit would no longer be picked up by the rest of the country were they to secede. Of course that was some years ago. Things could be entirely different now I suppose.
