Don't know how hot this is but Egghead.com has the Que CDRW 12/10/32 for 179.99 plus 6.95 shipping minus $30.00 MIR in their Hardware section. This maybe a rebadge Plextor as I bought a Que 8/4/32 last year at Compusa and the drive was labled as a Plextor. Sorry, I haven't figured how to link yet! Has Burn-Proof. If this was up b/4 sorry, did a search. In stock

Sorry Ohio737. I got in the deal with the Iomega's so I don't need this. I posted this to give a heads up to fellow Anandtechs for at lest a warm deal. I was hoping that someone else might know if they were rebadged Plextors. :frown:

According to QPC-Que support, there are two versions of the QPCDRW121032I. One has a Plextor 1210 mechanism and the other a Teac 512E mechanism. I'm not sure how the Teac performs in comparison to the Plextor, but it is Clone CD compatible and has BurnProof. If you're looking to save a little money this might be for you.

This one is IDE. It is $156.94 shipped after $30.00 MIR. The firewire drive is $293.94 shipped after $30.00 MIR.

The QPS company sucks. Good luck getting any remedy if the drive doesn't work. Make sure you buy it from a retailer that will take it back (no stocking fee, open box, etc.). If you decide you don't like it and the seller won't take it back, believe me, QPS won't do squat. I'm speaking from experience.

Well, if it just a Teac, then it's good to know that CDRWin isn't supported by the 512EB (the one with Burnproof) yet. I'm sure Goldenhawk will update for the Teac (which reads subchannel data and does DAO-RAW with latest firmware)... hopefully soon!
