QUANTUM REBATE UPDATE

I got my $20.00 Umax rebate yesterday. The check was dated 1/17/01.

I'm wondering if I got it because I had called about 10 days ago. On
their phone system I punched in my name and zip code. It said that my
rebate was already sent. I tried holding for a human, but after a long
wait I gave up.

Somebody sure had a lot of spare time on their hands. That thing has more options and features than MS Office2000.

I'm definately going to use it from now on.

How does this program work? Does it go onto rebate companies' sites and enter your info and checks the status? Isn't that the same thing as if I were to go onto the site and type the info in?

BTW I sent in the Quantum rebate 9/11 and received it 2/08. Terrible performance but at least they sent a postcard telling me it was in process.

I didn't see this yesterday. I got two checks from two seperate rebates (one for an LM, and one for an Atlas V). Never got a postcard, but did get the emails.

Mine was sent in Nov I think.

Way too long IMO. :|

Jayster - thanks for the info. I called Quantum up today and spoke to a CSR named "Mia" who told me to send in my original receipt to get credit for the rebate on the second drive I had purchased.

I figure I should get this check sometime around July or so...

Just got my Quantum rebate, $60, from 2 drives I ordered back in October. Also got my rebate for my Netgear Router. Both rebates were sent in on the same day, and both rebates received yesterday. Imagine that...

After UMAX, my next set of "stinkers" are the two free shipping refunds outstanding from Equal Footing. These were "authorized" back in early November. I got the $50 off rebates ok, but this shipping stuff in still on my list.

Anybody have any luck on that one? (Are they still in business?)

PS...I think sharing info on how these con artists bilk us out of our rebates or use of our money is great! Also I nominate mccall for "chief tough guy."

Quantum says that the rebates are delayed due to "overwelming" demand.

Yeah! And I'm Elvis, the King, too.

I won't purchase another Quantum (or any other product from a company offering a rebate) product unless the price WITHOUT the rebate is good enough to attract me.

called quantum. csr says the rebate check was printed feb 5. but i have not got it yet:disgust:

Finally got my Quantum $30 rebate last week. But here's the one that takes the cake...

A few days ago, I received a $30 rebate for an I/O Magic purchase that was made in January... January 2000!!! That's right, it took about a year to get the rebate. Guess I should just feel lucky to have gotten it at all!

if you haven't gotten it, it will come. How is this a hotdeal btw? I got mine in december, they sent a postcard in october telling me that they've recieved my rebate request and if i didn't get in in 6-8 weeks to call a 1-800 # on the postcard.
