In doubt

I know Tom's boys are good at hardware. Is it me or does everyone here just trust SR over anand and Tom for Hard Drive comparisons and reviews?

I've had to return two laptop HD's to IBM (after they died from use with a laptop -> standard IDE converter). Both occasions, they have been quite friendly in assigning RMAs to me. :)

I had to return an IBM drive (through the retailer though) with no problems. However, in returning computer products, I've always found that playing dumb is a good tactic. If you try to throw around terms like RAID 0 and DMA to even a "support technician", chances are good they're going to jump to the conclusion that you broke it by messing around with it. If you play dumb and just say "I dunno, it just kinda died on me. Scandisk says so.", you might have better luck.

Oh, and keep your temper. The angrier you get at the person on the other side of the line the more resistance they'll put up.

yeah people *SHOULD* trust Storage review the most for their review accuracy, they seem to be best at it.

This should nail it, the Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 60 beats the Fireball Plus AS, Im intriqued why Storagereview did not give it the "Safe Buy" award, they "think" the WD is better, now I know why people say SR is WD/Seagate biased. I feel very confident saying that the DM+60 is currently the best 20GB platter 7200rpm hard drive.
