Indeed. Bad thing is though, it didn't run well with a single 980ti at just 1080p either.

That's a little disappointing but hopefully can improve with drivers and whatnot. I am glad I got it for my xbox one and will receive the PC game for free. At least I know I have a way to enjoy the game without much headache. Don't think I would be happy to get it on Windows store and then find out it really does run badly. Do you think that's why they have some ridiculously high system requirements for this game? Almost like they knew it wouldn't run well.

I think from now on it may be safe to just avoid games on the windows store. Killer instinct isn't a demanding game at all yet runs pretty poorly at anything above 1080p for me(no sli support for it). I guess you cannot run gpu monitor apps on Windows store games too but MSI Afterburner has a way to read the fps, fan speeds, clock speeds, temps, CPU speed and temp etc on your phone or tablet. It took a bit to setup but I have used it before and can confirm it works but I haven't tried it on a game from the Windows store. It should work in theory though. The really bad thing is though that you are locked out of the install folder so mod support may never come to Windows store games. Luckily though only Xbox exclusive titles seem to be put on there and you can find everything else from other sources.

I'm avoiding MS until they fix their crap. Respect that they are attempting to bring more games to pc, especially since I don't own an Xbox, but not getting any money from me until they run properly. But yea hope a new driver/patch can improve things significantly.

Poor performance on 980Tis? Isn't that the single most powerful GPU in existence? Glad I didn't drop the $60 on it. I wonder if Microsoft will have steam-like sales on the Windows Store?

Review I read this morning said performance was crap at 1080p with sli 980 tis. So you may be in trouble.

I have no problem waiting to purchase the game. It's the norm for me now. Too many games get released with poor performance and other problems. I'll wait until after the game is patched up. The price will be lower and most of the extra content will also be released.

Yea I do the exact same thing. Games that support SLI and don't have any major problems out of the gate seem pretty rare these days.

No DVD frisbee version? Pffft. It will take at least 5 or 6hrs to download this here. For 10hrs of gameplay?

First it was Killer Instinct. Then it was Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Now its Quantum Break....

I guess third time's a charm.... for Microsoft failing to give PC users a port that doesn't suck balls. Especially PC ports that can't maintain a consistent 60 FPS at 1080p on a single GTX 980 Ti.

One thing...isn't SLI broken in DX12 currently? I see that Quantum Break uses DX12 right? Could that be why SLI isn't working and might never work until Nvidia fixes it? Tomb Raider is the same way. Use DX11 and SLI works, switch to DX12 and only one card works. I got Tomb Raider on steam too not windows store.

This is the worst running game ever. It hogs all your vram over time until it becomes a literal slideshow and the audio goes out of sync on cutscenes. It has severe frame rate issues outside of those situations anyway. It doesn't even run at the resolution you set. At 1080p it actually renders at 720p and scales up with some form of aa applied like the console game does. Since you cannot download the live action episodes those stutter heavily as well. It's probably the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a game. It doesn't even look that impressive so the frame rate issues seem even worse because you know it isn't taxing your system. Sometimes it was so bad I thought the game locked up. Remedy also says they will never enable multi gpu support because it requires tons of work to the engine that they are not going to do. Basically they ported the game directly over using dx12 and it barely functions. They don't care. Glad I did not buy it on PC. It's too bad because the game is good.

It's just pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

I finished the game but it was absolutely horrific on PC. On the Xbox console it actually runs pretty well and doesn't look all that different.

Microsoft needs to take a more proactive approach to what they release on the windows store and how it works because aside from being locked out of the install folder (no mod support) the performance and lack of basic features that PC games should have (exclusive full screen, vsync control, SLI/X-Fire etc), and pretty piss poor performance make their releases look very bad and the reviews show it. Hell there's even no way to read your frame rate when playing a game from the windows store. Even the MSI Afterburner remote app doesn't function correctly. Fraps and other screen overlays don't work.

omg im laughing so hard at joe's review on quantium break..

but i can already tell you i am not getting it.
22 min live action cut scenes.. >.< wtf was the dev's thinking.

The game looks soft and fuzzy. You can easily tell its crap 720p being upscaled. It seems like MS told the devs just use our UWP platform and it will port itself. What a lie.

Literally it feels like an emulation. Most emulations run better.

Let's face it. We all have played too many games and this loser shit they push off as games is like giving a heroin needle user an aspirin.

It's a TV show and your actions in game change the show a bit. It's actually a good show and has good action with good acting.

It uses film grain with no way to turn it off. That's the fuzzy effect you see.
