PC Liquidator has Quantum 10GB Hard Drives that appear to have been pulled from Compaqs. They have them in the store for $54 (I bought 2) and on the web for $50.

I am not crazy about the 30 day warranty, but these drives have a pretty good rating for reliability.

At 50 bucks its a great deal!

Sounded like a good deal until you said they were pulled out of Compaq's

I was going to buy it to replace the Quantum harddrive that went bad in my parents' Compaq (1 yr old)

my $.02 - this deal sucks ass

I disagree!

These drives are great! I have two of them in my Tivo, although they are 20GB, but the same model/series.

I read all about them before I put them in my tivo and they were the most recommended drives because of thier reliabity.

I think that this is a great deal!

That is a nice price. See the 128mb of PC100 for $15.99 at pcliquidator too! Also 49 cent cd<->sound card cables. Sweet stuff. Now if only they had 30gb pulls of the same drive ;).

The funny this is, they had 40GB drives like this too!

About 2 weeks ago, I was in the store and they had some pulled 40GB drives for $99. I bought one and it is running in my server just fine;)

They don't put all of thier stuff on the web, they put it in the store first for some reason.

MullySculder: You can't price match a refurb or pulled item. I doubt anybody would PM a site like PC-Liqudator even if it was an item they claimed was new in retail box. The name of the site alone is enough to nix any chance of a PM.
