Being target clearance, your results may very at your local store. Usually it is not if, but when your stuff goes clearance (and at what level % discount). The headphone section for electronics is being redone now and that means a bunch of headphones are on clearance. If yours is at %70 (highest level before salvage) there some amazing deals to be had.
I own a great set of klipsch ear buds but I know of so many people and family that kick around with those craptastic $10 ear buds that make me cringe and want to gouge out my ears so I like to keep an eye out for any deals to replace those with. I picked up a set of the Sony MDR-EX210B for $12 (original $40) and found them to be a steal. They feature a large bass response and more then capable mid and highs, with silicon tips you would normally find on a $70 set of plugs. I gave a set to my father and he was impressed by them, probably fell asleep with them on for the first time.
If you miss out on these (sold out) there are also several skullcandys on clearance at the same price point which are almost as good.. and at $12 will still outclass any ear buds in that price range. I wouldn't miss this chance if your are looking for a descent pair of headphones on the cheap.
