Quality power supply?

I was wondering if it was normal for the voltages supplied by the power supply to vary as much as 0.2v? I just bought a generic PS when I upgraded to a P4 system.

I would stick with antec or enermax. They have given me great performance in the past. Others use different ones with success though. If your having stability problems it would be worthy to try one to see if it helps.

That's normal. FWIW, I have not had the best luck with Enermax. I recommend PC Power & Cooling PSUs or Antec if you don't want to spend the dough.

I believe having a quality ps is a must in a stable system. I've had my share of troubles with a couple of cheap ps which have been replaced by enermax. Since then, I only have been using enermax/antec ps in all of the machines I build.
