Am using an Aopen 12x burner and 16x dvd.
Both work great.
But I am facing a problem when putting UT cd or Deus Ex on the dvd drive.
The game launches but fail to find the cd, although its in the dvd drive. I have contacted the retailer about the problem. Hopefully, something works out.

Aopen makes good products and bundle good software package. :)

I've used lots of Aopen stuff... video card, cd-rom, case, and motherboards (built about 4 systems with AX6BC's...great boards). No problems and good quality stuff.

I own an Aopen AW744 Pro soundcard, best soundcard I know of for the price. Beats out the Live! series in sound quality and this card has an optical out. The card cost me about $26 plus shipping. Creative's lowest end card with an optical out is the platinum 5.1 which will cost you $150+.

<<<Aopen ROCKS !! they are very good quality. Stay away from ACER . >>> Budman.. I don't wanna sound like a banana head here, but i believe Aopen and Acer are the same company. ALI (as in the chipset) are Acer Labs Inc. And yes , they do make pretty good products. The Aopen cases i've seen are Very nice with good beefy powersupplies.

The only A-Open product I have tried is their Geforce 2 MX and it works very well. Installed without incident, seems to match up well with Celeron 600@900, no complaints as games run smooth with decent framerates at 1024x768 with 32 bit color and full detail. So far, so good. I may have to try one of their sound cards if I try to build a Duron system, as I have heard of people having problems with Aureal chipset sound cards and the Via KT-133 chipset motherboards.
