Quality 19" Monitors (Help)

Here are some monitors that I was wondering if they are good/bad/ugly and what not.

CTX v90SL - Anandtech recommends this one 231+41 = 272
19" KDS VS-19sn - At TCWO so I save on shipping cost.~267
KDS

19" AOC 9GLRS - At TCWO so I save on shipping cost ~257

AOC

Any input guys? I'm also ordering either a gf3 or gf2pro if that's any help.

But quality wise which is the best monitor.

I've had a VL950S (not the SL) for some time, and although it's a decent monitor, I had a few problems with it. One is that the moire on it is terrible if I go any higher than 1024x768, and can't be adjusted out (even 1152 can't be used, moire hurts my eyes too much). That may just be this particular monitor though. The other problem I had is that the pixels are way too visible to me. It's a .22mm dot pitch, yet when I look at areas of solid color I can see the individual pixels, and that's always bothered me.

Of course, this is not the same monitor as the SL, but I don't think I'd get another CTX without getting to look at it first. (Though that's true for any monitor, I want to see the screen before I buy.)

Bump...please guys i'm trying to get my system under 1700.....and this will greatly help to determine if I should cut the corner or spend the money for the quality.

I'm not a fan of CTX or KDS monitors. I have an AOC 7GlrA (its a 17") that i'm really happy with. My 7GlrA will run at 1600*1200@75Hz. and looks nice and sharp at that res. I have even gotten it up to 2048*1536!!! (of course the monitor is too small for that res. to be useful) I cannot vouch for the 9GlrS but i have had good experiences with AOC.

The KDS 19" Flat screen Monitor that Best Buy has for sale is the best monitor they had and it is VERY nice! I think they have a special on right now for like $299.

Oh, and make sure you get their 3 yr warranty! well worth it!

I think the Samsung is around 350-380 US dollars, not sure but that's what I would place my bet on. If you can stretch it get the Samsung 900NF and be happy since you will rest assured.

My last 3 monitors were all samsung... if you can spare the money buy one. Also consider a 17" but one with a good reputation like a Samsung or NEC. Your eyes will thank you since when it comes to choosing the right monitor in the 17" / 19" class, size isn't everything.

Athough the opinions on the forum are good, I suggest you go to CNET and look for monitors that they speak highly of at Pricewatch. That may be a better option as they can afford to test lots of monitors. The reason I suggest this is it seems that hardly anyone is interested in doing the work for you.

I have a low budget MAG 800v 19" thats fairly good $$$ wise but will be buying soon a really good quaility 22" or 24" monitor and have been hoping the prices will drop...LOL.
I think anything along the .25 or .26 dot trinitron tube is great.
