Cortex-X5 power is apparently foul too so MTK will bring in the handnuke to compete too.

Oryon is a Firestorm clone but something in power delivery or phydes keeps it from being as good as it should be imo.

It's a solid starting point for future iterations. Real world battery life (i.e. not Cinebenchod) and web browser performance look good. Not revolutionary and that's OK.

Yeah they traded power for perf in a really weird way.
Mind that 8cx g3 was like 5LPE, suboptimal node for laptop applications.
