I have a P5K E6750 2 GIG Gskll RAM and an Asus X1950PRO all at default settings. When I try to change the res, video quality or the AA I have to restart the game. When the game restarts I get an error message that says the game has defaulted to the original video settings. How can I fix this? I don't game very much but I do like to downlad the demos that come out and play with them for awile. Any help would be appreciated
 
Is there a patch for the demo? If so try applying it.

Also instead of relaunching the game try a vid_restart.
 
What Driver version ?
Windows Vista or XP ? 32 or 64 ?

Also you can get Quake 4 for less than $10 at EB which is good game for that price ; )
 
if you are doing multiplayer punkbuster doesn't allow certain resolutions such as widescreen ones so that could be it.
