Quake3 + Geforce2 + Win2k = dark screen

i just switched to win2k and now the gamma in quake 3 is dark even if i try to change it in the options..is there a way around this

I am having the same problem on my system ever since I went from win98SE to win2000. I have tried almost all the different Nvidia beta drivers and they all do the same thing. I think it may be a problem with Quake3 because the gamma levels in my other games that use OpenGL are fine. I haven't tried the latest beta release of Quake3, maybe that fixes it. Now if I could just get my stupid Hollywood+ working under win2000....

You could try to raise the gamma of your 2D settings to something really high. Then try running the Q3 and see if it's brighter.
