Just what is the target hardware? Am I getting the right impression, in thinking they are indicating this will scale well?

I think they're definately working to make it work on a large range of systems, for sure. But I'm fairly certain for max settings and high resolutions, a very-high end system is going to be required.

well more HL2 type games are welcome, im amazed at how well HL2 runs on a massive range of hardware. hopefully they follow suit and produce a game that doesnt require you need the absolute latest get up just to push 1280x1024.

Should make for some interesting benchmarks. Hopefully it's fun enough to replace the bug fest that is BF2.

hey BF2 isnt that bad now :)

and OMG this game is gonna rock, i hope my SLI can power it! this years actually quite good for games

Act of War: high treason
Flatout 2  and it looks ****** amazingingly good fun
HL2: episode 1
ET: Quake Wars

should keep me happy for a bit

And add Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway to that list. It looks like it's the 1st game to use Unreal 3 engine :)

OpenGL + stencil shadows? + doom3 engine = NV advantage?
BFG10K you did mention that ATi cant do SSAA in OpenGL. Is this a driver bug?

However this game looks amazing. The graphics are pretty and all, but the gameplay is whats getting me anticipated about this game. Should be lots of fun :)

I still remember some people saying "doom3 engine cant do large outdoor areas.." :D

Don't Forget the Sin episodes. First Sin Episode 1, Then HL2 EP1, My next Month and a half should be fun. And I really think these episodes will give me 4x the re-play value, as I have rediculously small attention span, and playing an 8 hour game and 20-30 hour game is completely different. So as long as these episodes end on cliff hangers or rap up nicely I will be fine. But if they dare just have these episodes end like a and end of a level I will be pissed. I want either a whats new story line, or for the episodes to leave me bitting my fingure nails waiting for the next one. Thats what 24 does (cept first half of this season).
