as much as i loved ETQW, playing the sewers map over and over did get boring. However, now that Valley is also in, I'm going to resume playing :)

Tons of fixes have been made to the game - audio, video, networking, bots, a whole bunch.

Yeah, It's much better than beta 1 , lotta fun. I like the graphics and game play...Yosemite is a good map, Megatexture rocks...

Hmm, it's super-buggy for me, froze twice even with my Vidcard at stock. I do like the gameplay and map over the last one. I still think the feel of the weapons is cheesy, and it's too hyper and speedy for a game that's more BF2 like in terms of maps/objectives etcetera. I don't like the arcade-like speed/weapon feel combined with the BF2-like attempt at maps/objectives/vehicles. Graphics are nice though and the game does have potential

Anyway to avoid having punkbuster running in the background when I am not playing any games? The service seems to stay after I quit.

(I have yet to try Beta 2)

"net stop pnkbstra" will stop the punkbuster service.

S**tF**k! My BETA key still doesn't work! I tried my BETA key on both versions and it says it's invalid. I got it from fileplanet.

Big improvements to video and net coding. I don't know what kind of frame rates I'm getting, but its actually playable now at 1920x1200 in Vista. Something I couldn't say about Beta 1 even with my 8800 GTXs running in SLI.

It's still a bit too much of an arcade style shooter for my taste, but at least it hasn't been hacked to death yet like BF 2142.

I hope Id does something more with the persistent stats like EA does, but it looks like the only thing reward you'll get for playing well is a higher rank in you in-game identity. Boooo.

I didn't have any crashes but there is still alot that needs to be fixed.
Lag is a big problem.
I found if I play on the 32 players servers that lag is really bad.
I don't think the hosting servers are up to the task.
24 player seemed fine.

I think a big improvement to the game would be to give more health to the individual.
Right now its too easy to kill someone and results in there being nothing but spawn/die/spawn/die and you can do that cycle in under a minute.

I like a fast pace but the way it is now there is no strategy. Its run N gun the whole time.
The game has potential but it needs work.

I don't quite see how there's very little strategy. The objectives are nice and focused, yet it's quite open ended in the ways you can complete them or help your team complete them. There's just so much you can do. Maybe you need to try different classes or use your imagination a little more.....

I haven't seen strategy in any of the games.
Its all people running out haphazardly shooting, dying, repeat ad nauseum

Theres no coordination.
People call air strikes on there own teams.
Then you have the bunny hoppers that jump around without penalty.
Most of the servers have people that sit on top of a mountain and snipe people as they spawn. bleh
been there done that.

After playing more today I canceled my preorder.

I was looking for something that might innovate, but this is just more of the same.
